Hahaaaa!!! It's so terrible and I love it!

A group of four of anthropology PhD students, plus one traumatized girlfriend, take a trip to Sweden to partake in a small community's midsummer festivities. The community turns out to be more of a drug fueled cult but by the time any of them realize it, it's too late. Beautifully shot and acted. The light and the scenery made me want to join this cult. Florence Pugh as Dani gave an incredible performance.

Slight spoiler in last sentence of review: Mildly amusing here and there but overall long and dull. The Eurovision singing contest was a vehicle for the very boring & unbelievable conflict that was the "love" story between McAdams & Ferrell. That often seems to be the problem with these sort of send-up films; there's always a lame romantic sub-plot. I wish there was more material and story that revolved around the Eurovision contest instead of the romantic story. The filming locations were beautiful and the soundtrack is really great. Never thought I'd say that about a movie that is supposed to be a satire of Eurovision. It totally did make me want to watch the Eurovision contest, however. I'm looking forward to seeing more of what it's about Lastly, Lars didn't deserve Sigrit. He was selfish and dumb. Alexander did, though. That guy was nice & thoughtful, which was at least a good departure for this type of movie.

Terrible. A mentally ill man finds out he's adopted and he's bad at standup comedy. That's the plot. Somehow he has a cool girlfriend for 5 minutes. She realizes he's nuts. It's a set up for Joker Part II.

Two stars for acting. Story structure usually has a beginning, middle and end. This story has only the beginning. I kept waiting for some sort of conflict or plot to develop but it did not. It seemed like a grad school film with a decent budget. Just a guy & his daughter avoiding society due to a plague that affects only females. That's the entire plot.

This movie is hilariously terrible.

This is the funniest of all the Leprechaun movies. I don't know how anyone can seriously critique this movie. It IS a Leprechaun movie, for Paddy's sake. It's totally cheesy, has ridiculous jokes and gore. What's not to like?

Awful. I cannot believe Glenn Close and Amy Adams were a part of this disaster. Bad wigs, goofy script and worse, it just gawks at poverty & Appalachians as if they're animals in a zoo. My family history is almost exactly the same as Vance's. My mamaw took the kids & moved off the mountain, from the border of Tennessee & Kentucky and to Dayton, which is just north of Middletown. My other Grandpa lived in a holler, right near Jackson, where Vance's family hails from. One thing that drove me absolutely nuts about this movie was the accents (or lack therof). There is no way in hell any of the folks portrayed in the film could've been from the holler or sw Ohio. Both of those regions have very distinct accents. It just seemed lazy and inauthentic to not even try to get that down. Terrible and trite, don't waste your time.

Freaking loved it. Awesome cut-off short-shorts, side-ponytails and tube socks. The perfect encapsulation of the 80s and teen summer camp slasher pics. Surprisingly good acting. The music score was amazing. I recommend it if your a horror fan

It's a perfectly serviceable stand-alone action movie. It moves along at a good clip, has a plot & story that makes sense. It's not like the other films & doesn't follow the book. It's not a film sequal. Films & books are two different forms. So, forget either of those expectations and enjoy it for what it is: a decent action film that's a bit dark & moody. There's good acting, excitement & it's a good distraction.
