Though I applaud the courage of those that stepped away into the unknown, and celebrate the opportunity they were given to share their story, I question why Netflix chose to omit that Etty was/is a lesbian.(According to an interview in Haaretz.) A fact that was known to Netflix, and more importantly, to her husband. That would explain why there was such a militant approach against her during the divorce, and I don’t believe exclusive to this religion.
