First half was good, believable, tense then it all falls apart. German changes places with a dead British officer because they "looked alike". He is in the officer's uniform and gets back to England. Really, how does he apply for a travel warrant? Would you know? Do you have any idea of how many rules and regulations any army has? You can't just waltz off back to England. And then the toxic masculinity bit where he rapes the teenage girl in her own house and she doesn't have hysterics, just like that. I mean us guys are always raping teenagers. And then after 60 years she finds him. Come on. By the way, the timelines are screwy. Set in the present day, a teenager in the mid 1940s would be about 95, 30 years older than the main characters. Give us a break.
