This is not so much a sci fi - as a cultural blank canvas on which Seth can depict his “morality plays”: all politically VERY correct.
The amazing thing about it - is that he is so clever, that he has packaged up his moral medicine in a coating so familiar (Star Trek) and sweet, that there is no way us lesser humans realise what he is doing. (Gosh). It is not so much Star Trek.. as Right Think: Wilbur, Orville and Seth - the last of the truely RIGHT brothers.
