You are the company you keep. How can you trust and purchase things from someone with a "friend" group like this? 1. Maria Shriver has been privately supporting Shawn Driz for years, protecting him (look up the "Don't Say Schwarzenegger" story/trail from @anneimalgreene on TikTok). This contradicts her speeches on feminism and women's empowerment. 2. Jay Shetty's lies about his credentials and plagiarism from other people. His life coaching program lacks valid credentials. Read the expose on him from the Guardian by John McDermott for all the proof. 3. Mel Robbins' "life coaching" is strongly tied to Eric Worre, one of the largest scammers in the MLM industry. She promotes a lot of pro-multi-level marketing rhetoric, which can be harmful. Like MLM, it is built to fail, with only a small percentage succeeding. One of her speeches at a Monat conference also had a lot of ableism, where she claimed that her teaching cured her of anxiety. Watch the "Savy Writes Books" YouTube video for more details on why this is dangerous. Mel has used a "friends" death as bait for likes and comments. Most recently, with Dave Hollis passing, she used that to promote her work and podcast. 4. Lisa Bilyeu is another self-help "guru" obsessed with starving herself for "health." Choosing to be hungry is a privilege, among other concerning things about her. And do we need to get into Jada Pinkett Smith and her obvious narcissism? Yet, Ramani continued working with her because she wanted fame over dignity. These people recommend Ramani. Should you trust their words after all this? Be skeptical of all these people and other "self-help" figures, like Ramani and those in her group. Ramani wants (more) money and fame, selling contradictions and false hopes, just like her "friends." She acts like she doesn't but come on, if you knew Ramani from her professor days, that is all Ramani wanted. She profits off vulnerable people. Don't even get us started on her on-and-off relationship with Richard Wearn. Instead of recommending "It's Not You" or any of her books, I recommend books by Devon Price, Lindsay Gibson, Mariame Kaba, Nadine Burke Harris, and Adrienne Maree Brown. Barnes & Noble carries these books as well. Return "It's Not You" and choose one of the aforementioned authors.
