I really disliked this show. It reminded me of Tarzan movies I watched in the 1960's where the remote jungle was a quick 5 minute sprint from the big town. Marianne Station is supposed to be the size of Belgium but everything is a quick 4WD drive away. I felt the sadomasochistic relationship between the father and son was gratuitous. The depiction of the Walpiri Elders was shallow and reinforced negative stereotypes. The scenery is spectacular but nature is to thank for that.
