It's ridiculous, disturbing, and profoundly gruesome in a way that's absolutely riveting. The famous slasher scenes are over-the-top and tacky, which is exactly what you'd want from a holiday horror. It’s not at all meaningful, but it will captivate you nonetheless. The director didn’t play it safe with this addition to the series, and that risk paid off.
