A delightful read.. Highly recommended
The novel starts from the generation of the hero's grandparents. Out of the 7 chapters, the last two are about Deepu's achievements. This is an eye opener for all those who know him.
The novel is fun to read. The language is less ornate and more of a cheerful delivery of matter of fact reality. It's didactic and filled with tongue-in-cheek commentary on the social issues that are highlighted.
The use of metaphor is unique. The line such as 'discotheque for the monkeys' comes across as a pithy remark, delivering the whole picture in the fewest of words. Another metaphor, that of a "passenger in the back seat" used for politicians is very unique.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
