I thought the writing was sublime. The amazing depictions of the movements across the continents and the variety of ways to describe them was masterful. Each of the astronauts so beautifully and succinctly captured. I am recommending it to everyone

I found the relentless misery did not make for good reading. Where is the light and shade? Where is the occasional hope? Not from meeting Jack that’s for sure. I will not be pursuing this author. We have already read this story better written in The Grapes of Wrath
