Outstanding book on principles of metal detector design and construction. Thorough explanation of historical designs sets the foundation for current modern detector designs including Induction balance and PI detectors. Several DIY projects are included within the book including PCB layout, Bill of Materials and construction instructions. Very well written; I recommend this book to anyone serious about the how and why of metal detectors, particularly those that desire to construct their own detectors for experimentation and learning.
