Despite abysmal aggregated scores from review compilation sites, I feel like this movie did not deserve the critical response it got. I applaud this film for being different and for showcasing something different within the MCU mold.
Eternals is definitely a different kind of film compared to other MCU releases, yet stays within the set universe. It is both refreshing and expected, especially when taking into consideration the director, the cast, and the overall tone set out for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Of course, it's not a perfect film. But is it enjoyable? Yes!
But does it have something meaningful to say? Highly subjective, but I'm on the side that says yes. This movie seems to polarize critics and audience alike, but I at least can love it and say that I look forward to the next adventures of the Eternals and Dane Whitman (and a certain undead).
