This is my first Stephen King novel I have read and I finished it within a couple of days. A lot of reviews heavily relate to King’s apparent opinion of Trump, though may I say these views were the perspective of the characters he’s created in the book. There is so much more to take from this book than a disliking for his potential aversion towards Trump. It’s a fiction novel and should be read as so. The comments relating to Trump within this book did fit perfectly I believe considering it was a constant reminder that this institute was happening, and there was an oblivious outside world. No mention of the government or any outside consideration (other than the main character Tim in a small town) seeping within the pages would have diminished the potential of the reading substantially.
It’s a great book and written brilliantly, the whole book weaved together wonderfully with each event taking place at just the right time making it a suspenseful read throughout. As I was reading this novel ‘The Institute’ I was thinking how great of a movie or tv series would become of it.
Definitely worth the read.
