Just finished the first part of season six. I came away with mix reviews. It was just so painful watching the press war between the exe’s and the frenzied approach of the paparazzi pursuing Diana for that money shot. Also, the deepening speculative narrative of her involvement with Dodi was suspect that it was nearly unbelievable to me. I remember where I was when I heard the shocking news of Diana’s accident and death. So I do believe The Crown handled this tastefully by not showing the gory details. As far as the ghost scenes I’m okay with it because having lost someone close to me I’ve also held those regrettable conversations as well. But, I have to mention with millions spent on sets and costumes over these past six seasons couldn’t a better job replicating the queen’s hairstyle on Imelda Staunton been done as she gave the “Diana” tribute speech? Come on really, it was absolutely horrendous that certainly distracted from that whole scene.
