It was a beautiful movie. Slow at some points but emotional the whole way through. There were many touching moments such as everyone banding together for Billy’s test or talking about Sam’s boy troubles. There were many sad moments such as Rachel opening up about her mom. And there were many fun and humorous part such Billy running wildly down the hall or everyone jamming out in the car. It was absolutely beautiful to watch. It is, albeit, a movie not for everyone.
The movie easily captures the audience it portrays: people interested in the arts, be it theatrical, literary, physical, etc. But it can easily be lost to those who aren’t. Either way, I felt it captured the mental turmoil and loneliness and lack of self-certainty in each character. While Rachel and Billy were easier to see it in, it still managed to portray the troubles, however big or small, that Margot and Sam were facing as well.
