This is my first and only K-drama series I've watched thus far. There are some similarities with Hunger Games. But it's much much better because we can identify with the characters -- like the lead protagonist Seong Gi-Hun who has a good heart, wants to care for his loved ones and yet is let down by his personal failings.
The series has a gripping storyline, acting is commendable and the themes of inequality, how circumstances can mould us and what defines good and evil keep viewers thinking and wishing for more long after we complete episode 9.
