I liked this movie but it was extremely unrealistic. The us government is portrayed as both incompetent and friendly in the face of losing robotnik and sonic escaping. In sonic adventure 2, where everyone knows about sonic the government tries to capture him significantly more. You can’t tell me that our power hungry government would see an alien who’s hairs can create super speed robots and not spend a massive amount of money ruthlessly tracking it down to use for weapons. At the end the agent goes to the main guy’s house and is just like, “lol I guess he’s not in there, also robotnik the guy we paid millions to catch this thing disappeared in your town but you saying he’s gone is good enough for me! We’ll give up completely based solely on your word small town cop we had been chasing for the past week”
