I have to say An Almost Normal Family made for a good escapism binge watch, but, for me, it raised questions about the Swedish justice system. Like…did Mom, who ostensibly is an attorney, really need to use the dual suspect theory in this case? Two girls are chased by a man with a knife, kill him with his knife, and there’s no option for a plea based on self defense? Even after drugging and raping one of them? Lots of heresay and no cross examination in the courtroom? And the absolute certainty that the rape victim is blamed in the legal system, so do nothing? Even for your own daughter? I didn’t find it believable.
