I have just watched and binged all episodes eight in total yesterday. It was bloody excellent. I am from the north in Yorkshire too. It was gritty. It was tearjerking in some episodes. It was real. It was a real good spinoff from the film it put modern day, Sheffield showing how there is still a lot of poverty and good times and true northern grit.
What I really liked about it was the attention to detail. For instance the job centre scene is exactly what a job centre looks like sometimes I don’t get it quite right, but this series was like somebody really took the time to get the little bit of details right which I really appreciate it. It’s a shame it’s on Disney+ because I think it would’ve got a much bigger audience if it had been on something like BBC or ITV but anyway very good
