#JusticeLeague #SnyderCut review There will be spoilers if you haven't seen any of the 2 JL movies, otherwise you anyways know the story. First thing, yes it is good, definitely not one of the best superhero ensemble movies ever but for sure it's one of the good ones. We have been blaming Joss Whedon all along for the product what JL 2017 was but I realize it wasn't his mistake, it was the one guy from the banner that wanted the movie's runtime cut and add more humor in its place. Whedon's jokes were not the problem but what they replaced was. I did not find the storyline of JL 2017 bad, it was just the execution, the events were not convincing as in 'why is this happening' , not much backstory for most things. It was like hey we can't beat him, let's get Superman back, Superman comes back and beats him. This one, thanks to the length, justifies each and everything, I did not feel the abruptness I felt in the JL 2017, it's smooth. The screen time is pretty good for all characters to justify their actions too. It answers all the questions and in a cinematically awesome way. Snyder setting up the Apokolips War was known from the Batman vs Superman movie but it totally got ignored in JL 2017, this one brings it all back. Sad that the universe Snyder was trying to built won't happen, all those cameos and easter eggs would not lead to anything...unless another #ResurrectTheSnyderVerse campaign grows big enough. If Snyder himself had to reduce the movie to like 1.5 hours, it would still be as bad as JL 2017 to be honest. Anyways, watch it because it's good ..watch it in parts may be...just before part 5 is the best time to take a long break. 3.5/5 , from a DC Marvel fan ( no sides taken )

I saw the English one in theaters, expecting a 'Gone Girl' as that was how it was promoted, but wasn't as good but was still ok. After I watched this Parineeti Chopra attempt, that one appears Oscar worthy. Parineeti Chopra has overacted the hell of an alcoholic, there is nothing subtle about it. Emily Blunt was damn natural. The director did not even take the pains to adapt the story in an Indian context, he simply takes the story to UK. The only Indianness added was just the 3 unnecessarily shoved up songs. The book is about 3 women and how their stories connect. It actually has 3 sets of chapters about their individual lives. The English one tries that, but not so much, this one just eliminates one character totally, rather introduces a new one and then creates a totally unnecessary sub plot to add another twist to the original twist in the last 5 mins just because someone would have wanted to change something in the absolutely perfect storyline. The story ofcourse is fantastic, so if you have not watched the Hollywood one and you just want to watch a Hindi movie... may be you will like the turn of events, otherwise just watch the original...or better read the book. What I am saying is , if you want to get the story.. preference would be Book>Emily Blunt>>>Parineeti. Pretty ordinary execution of a nice story is this movie. It's only watchable because of the unchanged parts of the story. 2/5

The White Tiger is an all Aadarsh Gaurav show. Even with some flaws here and there his performance , his monologues are so brilliant that you can just watch it for that. Rajkumar Rao and Priyanka Chopra are just there for celebrity value, might be called Rao's most ordinary perform ever, he just couldn't do the accent, the one most important thing for the character. The metaphors are very subtle yet strong. The direction and screenplay is good, the story kind of stretches too much in almost the last second half, it then becomes more of the book which is great to read but too much of it to watch on screen. The argument that it targets all Indian cliches known to Hollywood is true but also, those cliches do exist and the movie is around them a lot. People get offended when Hollywood portrays the poverty in India, but is it not a fact ? Doesn't poverty exist anyways ? If we really want to show more about India to Hollywood, may be someone from Bollywood should make an international movie then. Make a 'Crazy Rich Indians' if that's what people want to see. 3.5/5

Kaagaz is just Salman Khan's attempt at capitalizing on the stardom that Pankaj Tripathi enjoys, exactly what he did with Freaky Ali and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Great actors can never compensate for a mediocre story and ordinary direction. We have seen way better presentation of villages and village characters in movies like Peepli Live, Wasseypur, Panchayat etc. , The setting looks so forced in this one, there are dialogues forced to make you realize that it's '1977'. The jokes seem forced too, I just felt something really unnatural in the whole movie, could not relate at all. Pankaj Tripathi could not magically save this sinking ship. It's just a movie that doesn't even come close to your expectations from a Tripathi movie . Should be passed. 2/5 only for Tripathi.

I gave Dr. Dolittle a skip because it had some really bad reviews. Just saw it on Prime , it is a pretty nice feel good Disney type of movie... even better than some of the Disney movies which get praised. I mean what did the critics expected from a movie about a doctor who talks to animals ? It's funny, visually appealing and what else it was supposed to be ? Give it a try, if you got kids, watch it with them.

A movie that did not really need to be remade. I am pretty sure that the Hindi dubbed version would be as good as this so why waste time money and effort ? The dialogues sound like that they are just literal translations and zero effort has been put to make those contextual in Hindi. Bhool Bhulaiya was a remake too but the jokes, the sequences and everything were really well adapted which made it a fun movie to watch then, even the music was pretty good. I could really see the twist from the beginning of the movie and I was like if the twist I am guessing is not there then this one and it's original were just lame movies anyways. The attempt at jump scares is so stupid and cliched that not once you will feel even a little scared. Logic, like most south indian remakes, only exists in bits for the sake of justifying the plot when you would think that it was never needed though. Bhumi could not match the Manjulika version of Vidya Balan at all, also I saw the Anushka Shetty movie trailer, she did it way better. The best part of the movie which I laughed the most at was Shakti, that actor was so so bad that I totally loved him. I will really not be surprised that his next venture would be the Bigg Boss house, he is made for that. Arshad Warsi's face a lot of times in the movie says silently 'Why am I doing this'. Mahi Gill and Jishu Sengupta are just wasted. A consultancy that can help producers to analyze and decide on whether or not a movie needs a remake can be a good startup idea. 1.5/5

Wonder Woman 84 #WW84 is not one of the good superhero movies that have come out in the last few years. It could have easily been a better one given that the first one had set it up all so well. Patty Jenkins did a lazy job I must say. The story is weak, the villains not at all menacing though the action sequences are good. Somewhere in the second half the movie becomes Bruce Almighty and you wonder why, Kristin Wiig is initially introduced as a brilliant character which is later wasted. Her origin story as in how she becomes Cheetah is unimpressive, she could actually should have been the main protagonist. The main protagonist who is supposed to be the Lex Luther of WW universe isn't so cool either. The story line also doesn't connect anything back to the DC universe even though set up back in time, Captain Marvel did that beautifully. The movie parts its way by a long distance from the Comic Book too which some comic book fans might not like. The only saving grace is Gal Gadot - Chris Pine equation and of course the action. 2.5/5

At a time when Bollywood is all 'oldies doing over the top senseless action' , biopics , historical drama and' jokes stuffed in the script in the name of comedy'...a subtle rom-com comes in as a breath of fresh air. Yes that's what 'Jawani Janeman' is. It's an Adam Sandler movie ( one of the good ones) with Saif playing Adam Sandler in his own style. He is just brilliant and on a roll , his dance moves on the classic "Husn hai Suhana..' itself was worth the money. Alaya F is a find, doesn't seem like a newcomer and excels in her role. Tabu doesn't have much to do and everyone else does what they are there for. 3.5/5 .
