'Pihu' is a compelling movie which tells of the modern child- Pihu, or Myra, is just a metaphor. A wonderful blend of 'Trapped' and 'Home Alone', Pihu is very relatable but misses out some important points when showcasing the climax which had to be re-shooted. Fortunately, this doesn't affect the overall watch.

Kahaani 2 is better than most of the movies, but unfortunately, it fails to make up a good sequel story to it's first part 'Kahaani'. It doesn't keep up with it's plot, but successfully carries out it's meaning. Definitely worth a watch, but it remains true to only one specific genre. It's not 'Kahaani'.

Highway has been one of the most complex Indian movies of the modern decade. Many of us are divided about the quality of the film and how well-made is it. But what's undivided is the film's commitment to beauty and boredom. Starring gifted actors like Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, this is easily Alia's best performance as an actress after Raazi. But the rest of the film is majestically to fare in its share to darkness plus storytelling. Romance is good, because in most of the reviews to my Imtiaz Ali films has been that when he doesn't do romance 'exclusively' and 'only', he does romance perfectly. Like in Rockstar. But here, romance wasn't needed. Grip is already loose. Out of five, two stars.

The film is loosely based on the conception of Romeo and Juliet. The only difference is the leading characters- Ram Rajari (Ranvir Singh) and Leela Sanera (Deepika Padukone) have stronger and bolder approaches. The romance is not on trust love, it is all sex. The climax leaves you feeling guilty, it is so touchy, that you be like, "Nahi! Nahi! Maro mat. Rajari aur Sanera Ek ho gaye!" But you know- a William Shakespeare tragedy IS a Classic.

Gunday is a movie which is set in between the chaos of Bangladesh and West Bengal- basically a story set in the era of 1980s. There are two best friends who fall in love with one pole dancer who is appointed as a medium by the cops. Friendship shatters and comes passion, hunt and determination to get that one lady they are commonly interested in- an idea adapted from the traditional story of a damsel called Tilottama- who was the root cause of rift between two brothers who were demons disturbing people living on the planet. The idea also seems to dwell upon some major classics India's cinema industry is proud of. The only thing I like about this movie is- costumes and sets! and the music! You could always dance on 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' or wear sexy lingerie for that night...and it's a pleasure to watch Kolkata in all its retro vibes. As for the writing, its worst when it comes to this movie. Ranveer Singh has fallen victim to a false script, and Arjun Kapoor fails to create any sequence even when it is his game. Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan perform quiet well despite the scene is not good. Well, concluding by talking about the climax- I don't like and I felt hurt about the idea that the festival of joy and life turns the festival of dark and death in this movie- Durga Puja. I don't like this movie. Sorry for the fans.

If there is any 'baap' in the film industry, it is definitely Amitabh Bachchan Sahab. Well written, the story is composed of Amitabh's profound acting, great chemistry with Hema Malini, Prakash Rai's inner villain and of course, Sonu Sood's comical reliefs. A must-watch for Bachchan fans, in other words, everyone.

Some movies have strong feelings and you can't resist but feel the emotions with them. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma- the debutants- provide the masala elements, comjc reliefs, tears and much more- entertaining us and they're even better than the debutants Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor from 'Saawariya'.

'National Highway 10' is the most gripping action thriller with a dark background and an arresting depiction of its central characters which I have seen. Anushka Sharma is the most watchable one--woman force of this film- but the unexpected fire of the film is the internationally accepted and one of the most underrated performers of the industry, Deepti Naval, who actually plays a vamp! You shouldn't miss this terribly under-rated gem with masterstroke, irregular storytelling with broad layers and shimmering, immersive perspectives make it worth at least one watch whole your life. That one watch might become a life-changing experience. A rule book on what not to do when you're travelling. Out of five, I am going with three and a half stars and an extra half for the terrific performance of Anushka Sharma. Four stars.

The creation by Bhansali which can be called a profound one. The work on the light of the 'black' and acting by Rani Mukerji and Amitabh is just what we call superb. But a rare attraction is Sabyasachi Mukerji 's superb work on black dresses and lace work, for which he received national awards.
