We walked out after 40 mins. So slow, boring, dull, felt no empathy towards the gay men, it really was a horrendous first 40 minutes or so. Flashbacks are used because the storyline is poor, and tedious. I can't help feeling the actors in the film must feel ashamed to have been in it, I know I would. Really really poor ..... if you go to see it, girls take your knitting, boys leave your phone on muted, even that's better than this film.

Awful depressing film ! Had to walk out after an hour, felt no empathy for the joker nor did I care what happens to him. He’s no John Candy lol. Long drawn out sequences like when he dances alone. All my interest drained quickly away. So annoyingly irritating and waste of my time and money.
