Far too slow and laborious. I tried three times to watch the series but gave up finally on (yes!) episode 2. I believe what is happening in TV drama is that it is episode-driven rather than drama-driven. This is a perfect example. It would possibly make a good movie or even a decent 4-part tv series. As it stands, this is directed to viewers who have time to waste. Pity as the cast is good but that doesn’t relieve the slow pain of viewing! As it is, I can’t even be bothered to find out what is going on.
