You would assume in a film that is mostly so talky and filled with exposition, Nolan would have the common sense to not juxtapose it with overflowing and pretty sub par, loud background music. You couldn't even here most of the dialogues in even the most mundane scenes like a family at home cooking an omelette for supper.
All-in-all an over-indulgent dragfest that neither knows how smart it is trying to be nor how smart it could have been capable of.
