The anime is amazing, from the scenes where it makes you laugh, to where they make you cry. Even though there are some fan-service parts and episodes, I believe really that Fairy Tail is more about the adventures, and bond. It teaches you friendship, loyalty, and bravery. Thats really what I love about this anime. I also love how they made each character, it really makes Fairy Tail, Fairy Tail! Its very amazing how they as well add character growth in each and every character (especially Wendy) either from their magic and strength, to the way that makes the character more brave, sees different outcomes, and how they develop to someone they are the total opposite from. The series is an adventure to me, and still re watching the episodes ever since I finished all the seasons. Totally recommended, but just letting you know, its not entirely family-friendly.
