Five Feet Apart Summary:
Stella Grant and Will Newman could not possibly be more different. Will is reckless and a risk taker, whose only care in the world is to leave all the hospitals and get out to see the world, Stella, on the other hand is totally in control, well, sort of. The only thing they have in common is they both have an awful disease, with no cure, Cystic Fibrosis, otherwise known as CF. As well as an equally problematic disease for Will, Burkholderia Cepacia, AKA B. Cepacia. CF is a difficulty with your lungs, where mucus builds up making it hard to breath. If two CFers come in contact, it could be fatal to both. 6 feet apart, no exceptions, but when they develop feelings, 6 feet starts to feel more fatal than coming in contact. Maybe they could steal back a little space their broken lungs have stolen, maybe CF isn't the thief anymore, what if Stella and Will become the thieves. 5 feet apart doesn't seem too bad. Does it? Can they get away with it, or will they regret their decisions. Will they survive, or will they die along with friends and family?
I LOVE this book. A perfect combination of emotions. I recommend this book to accelerated readers of any age. So, if you haven't read it go out and buy it, or at least rent it from the library. (please, please, please). I have yet to watch the movie. Kinda worried, I don't want them to miss a single detail. That's how good the book was, so READ IT! (please)
