Vernon Wright

Currently on 6th play of this album... Wow. These old Rockers have still got it, clichéd as that sounds. Imagine pushing or actually being 80 and being capable of this musicianship, awareness and sheer 'rockabilty'. The Album is a joy, no exceptions. Stand out tracks are difficult to choose, as the whole record feels a coherent soundscape, but Angry, Whole Wide World and Tell me Straight (sung by Richards) are initially stuck in my head. I only saw them live once at Twickenham (Bigger Bang tour) and it remains a massive highlight of my life. Just hoping the universe graces us with another couple more albums of original stuff like this before it's all over.
