This is the 1st Hallmark movie I saw 3 things in the 1st hour & a half that were questioning. 1st of all, character Melanie Atkinson states Emily's Mom's marital status in a PTA meeting in order to Shane her as if being single is something to be ashamed about. Currently, in real life that would not fly. It's something from the past the society put on us. So have no idea why that was in. There 2bd there is the scene where Emily gets picked on her 1st day in school. Actually, it was bullying & I felt that the movie portrayed it as the norm. I think it should be taken out or addressed properly.by having the teacher bullying is not ok & not tolerated. Could you please apologize to Emily. 3rd scene where Danny (character Mr. Collier swishes Emily's Mom away from the center of town because she is expressing being happy after being sad. Really?! Oh, I'm sorry. Was that embarrassing? They are not even an " item" yet he is removing her & explaining to passerbys her actions. Not ok! So many things wrong with this! I would love it if producers could reedit or think a little bit more carefully going forward. Thanks!
