I cannot praise this story highly enough. The writer has the most extraordinary creative gifts. The imagery he evokes is breathtaking and some of his descriptions the most beautiful I’ve ever read e.g. how the ageing Ursula coped with the onset of blindness. What a world to immerse yourself in!
