I’m only 4 episodes into the first season but it’s disappointing. I don’t think I can watch any longer. It feels contrived and the acting is off. Dustin Hoffman is a real disappointment. As someone who doesn’t know the history of the Medici family, I was hoping to at least expand my knowledge of this history period and place, but that’s not going to happen. None of it even feels realistic. The show makes the Medicis seem like saints against a world of ruthless morons. It’s very predictable and basic. I also had an issue with plague victims looking like Hollywood actors with slight makeup jobs. Oh there it goes! Cosomo’s wife just rode the white horse in to save Cosomo from a weird fabricated, unbelievable charge. I’m done.
