I literally started playing the game a day ago and already being matched online with people who are already in a different league altogether. EA should start hiring people in your ML and AI department. I also heard that EA has some proprietary algorithm for match making. Maybe borrow one from tinder or perhaps reach out to some Indian matrimonial site. They will be able to provide you efficient ways for skill based match making. It’s not skill based, it’s luck based. “Will I find a player of my level when I play online? Or would it be someone who farts unicorns and scores goals from the mid line?” CGI isn’t everything. They should learn that from iRacing. Their graphics are okay but the way the cars function is more realistic than the ML model EA uses. It seems like they hired intern and the model they wrote was “if online: match”
