I must say this movie was pretty cliche at the beginning but from the moment the world turned to magic, things started happening. There were some scenes that played no role whatsoever, e.g. (spoiler alert) the husband fighting a dragon was completely meaningless, and could have been cut off or his masculinity could have been brought out in a different way. However, the end was beyond spectacular, having amazing singable songs and more meaningful emotions other than the lack of connection and naivete at the beginning. All in all great movie. 🙂 Honestly, I think Disney should stop bringing out fairy tales. Particularly ones such as these. We kinda need more mature themed movies.

What a wonderful tale. At first, I thought it would be like How to Train Your Dragon. However, it ended up to be worth my time. My little cousin loved it and couldn't get enough of it. Now we just can't seem to watch anything else (go figure)!! Still, it's worth it. Amazing graphics, great story and awesome moral to the story. Great job to the entire crew. Can't wait to see something of a sequel.

I can understand why very many people like myself thought this movie to be a complete cliché. Years of watching many vampire movies kinda takes you down on vampire-turn-good-save-the-girl narrative, which is exhausting and Morbius is in no doubt one of this. It starts off with the cliché narrative of kids suffering from a terminally ill disease and as grown ups, being utterly obsessed with curing themselves and thereby turning themselves into vampires. It's a great storyline, but hasn't it been done before? To move on to the unfounded villainhood of the other bestfriend, which I was unable to piece together. I mean so what my bestfriend wants me to realize that I'm evil, would he go to the extreme of killing the father figure we share or the only girl who's ever looked at me? Some plots are so forced that they become too obvious. I can't believe I sat through 1 1/2 hr of this movie just to get a cliché of the Twilight, which was more entertaining cause of the wolves. I think, given the budget, the entire team should've done better. I think we are all lost in origin stories that they no longer interest us anymore, when it comes to superheroes or supervillains. FYI, the post credit scenes are even more confusing. Watch it if you may, enjoy it never.

I must say that it is watchable and quite enjoyable. However, having watched animations movies for long (since a kid), I must say the clichés are overwhelming. First, it's the 'beaten-kid' scenario. "I was always made fun of because of my double tail...until I saw how cool you were and I knew 'I could be cool too'." This is a line that attempts to connect with beat up and bullied kids. Instead of just saying it, how about showing it. And then the emerald of 'destiny' really? Why would anyone make something so powerful and then realize that it's a mistake after that they have to keep it away from people? This cliché move has always fascinated me at how cheap it can be. It's a cheap way to get a story moving; a cheap plot. I wish they could have come up with a better plot to execute this movie. Overall, it did have some funny plots, with the wedding scene hilarious for a moment there. So far...the movie is watchable but would require more than just a few funny moments to get it going to the level I had hoped.

I had heard of this movie and I watched it because of that. However, the love between Kena and Ziki is introduced in a very shallow manner. In one scene, they are enemies, in another, out of nowhere, they are hitting on each other. I wish they had explored a more deeper connection. In this way, it would build with the audience a connection too. That being said, the violence depicted, as to what same-sex couple face in Nairobi, the shun, the statements made by the police, is what people often say here in the streets. Whilst it is so disrespectful to the persona, it is outrageous, how everyone jokes about it as if it is meant to. This film gives a light to many things, and I wish it were better for such couples. However, the making of this film, sheds some light that we might just be headed in the right direction. I'd give it a 5, save for the love being fastened too much.

I definitely love this movie. There's some kind of mischief in the character, a comedic scenery that any can enjoy, and an abrupt mystery that doesn't seem to unfold as quickly. It kinda makes you want to watch it again and again to see what you missed from the first time. Very enjoyable. I'm commending all the actors and the Director for bringing us a lifetime experience.
