I read this book when I was in 6th grade, and it was brutal and harsh. The community kills old people, newborns, and people who make simple mistakes. Also, in a dream, Jonas has the urge to bathe a female, nakedly. This is very, very, very inappropriate for kids and even adults. If I could, I would give this book 0 stars.
