The book was okay overall. It started off strong, but I didn’t really love how it ended. The Darren storyline intrigued me, but it felt like something was missing—maybe if he had been a bit more dangerous, as hinted, it could have added some intensity and excitement. I went into this expecting a classic ‘will-they-won’t-they’ dynamic, but the main characters agreed to date pretty early in the story, which made the rest of the plot feel just okay. I usually leave glowing reviews, but something about this book felt off. When I finished, I literally said out loud, ‘Was that it?’ and felt a bit let down. Just my opinion.

Just finished reading this book. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I absolutely loved it. I tend to gravitate towards romance books, and what I liked most about this one was its quirks. It's so different and interesting, especially the way they talk. I've just ordered the next book. Great read!
