I watched this movie and anticipated it would be a deep thriller, but it was not that. It’s slow, the writing did not make me feel emotionally invested in the characters, and the acting is flat. I think the main character’s acting was okay, but I think more backstory on him would have made him more interesting. I think he was meant to be portrayed as not very interesting, however I think all the long pauses and pans in the movie were unnecessary. Why do we need a close up on every other person in the casino? What does that add to the story? I think Tiffany Haddish’s outfits were all stylish and she looked really good, but her lines fell flat to me. She had some better moments but overall I was very unimpressed.
I absolutely did NOT understand the final scene.
The fingers touching…. There emotional connection was not portrayed as that feel for all of that. It made me laugh to be honest.
