The animation, the world itself, and the overarching plot is enjoyable, but these are the most boring, static, 1D characters I've ever seen in a TV show. The first villain they introduced was probably the only character that had a great arc and development, but by the end of S1 they ruined it so they could keep him as a big bad's henchmen in S2 (again).
