Melissa Ray

The main character’s life’s story would have been good on their own, but I did not enjoy the parts about the spirit, which was much of the book. I also did not enjoy the writing style of the author. In addition, I kept expecting something to happen with the sharp thing she kept in her hair and the fighting skills she learned from her mother, but nothing came of those details.
