After watching a lot of Hollywood crime thrillers and TV shows any attempt by Indian filmmakers to replicate American style crime thrillers just seem pathetic. If I was disappointed by Penguin I'm outright irritated by Nishabdam. From the start you can 100% guess who's the perpetrator of crime, only motive remained a mystery but not for very long. Anjali's action seemed forced and she appeared to be a weak detective. The only reason the story is set in US is to show a lot of brazenly unfaithful women I think. And the only reason Anushka was portrayed as deaf mute is just to add a twisty element to the plot. It's neither suspenseful, nor thrilling. And these kind of movies are just spoiling minds of Indians with meaningless acts of violence and revenge.
