Photography, lighting, camera angles, set/location: Pretty Good.
Writing, plot, and acting terrible.
The latter possibly due to the writing.
The way people interact is so unbelievably
unrealistic. Perhaps it is trying to show how the haunting is changing people’s behaviours toward each other. There’s a subplot that resurfaces at the end, and eclipses what the movies been about, if it’s about anything.
It’s really a shame because it had some potential, but the acting just feel forced and the dialogue sounds like it was written by a AI or a child.
I rented for a dollar, and wish I’d evaluated better whether I should watch it or not.
If you like over the top makeup and effects, and hokey b-movies it might appeal, but otherwise sleep on this one.
