If you are a single new player on this game you are screwed. Even if you play the safer seas where you don't have to worry about other people interfering with your gameplay the skeleton ships that are supposed to be a random encounter will ruin your experience. They aren't balanced to a new single player experience and will sink you every time you go out and spen a few hours getting lost and are on your way back to sell it. I have had this happen every single time I have tried to enjoy playing this game. I spend some time on an island close to and outpost and when I go to sell my loot I get sunk and loose it all. I have played three days in a row and this has happened all three days. If you don't have someone to play with I would highly recommend skipping over this game and the frustration it causes.
