Any Review Over One Star Was Necessarily Written By A Dangerous Incompetent: The female lead is JUST AWFUL. It’s difficult to describe how painful it is to watch her fumbling around with her character. She brings absolutely nothing to the table other than a poor attitude, sub par looks, gross incompetence, and hypocrisy that’s borderline criminal. The rest of the characters try their best to make for the failures of the director(s) and writers, but it’s inevitably to no avail. It’s just bad. Start to finish awful. The third (3rd) season showed some promise ab initio, but they brought the female lead from the prior seasons back and started putting her out front again and (fart noise). I think the show desperately claws at the concepts of drama and suspense by making the characters mercurial and unintelligent. Perhaps even unintelligible. I give the show 1 star because there’s at least a comical and cynical value to alternating between yelling at the tv and rolling one’s eyes at the fact that there was SOMEHOW a coordinated effort that allowed this to be perpetuated for four whole seasons. It’s by far the biggest mystery you’ll encounter after watching the first episode. “In what feasible world could this happen?” you’ll ask yourself. But there’s no good answer. Just atrocities. Shame. Shame on everyone involved… You’re welcome.

Season 5 Only: This series has a sickness that clearly wasn’t intended by the director or writer(s). The lead roll, which is struggled to be portrayed by a noticeably sick woman, attempts to be hero in some very grotesque ways. Dot is perpetually preoccupied with lying to everyone she cares about and does so knowing that it is very much to their danger and detriment. At one point, while the “hero” mother and her daughter are at hospital, directly following an armed invasion of the family home, the mother tells her daughter that she can’t talk about that traumatic event because the attackers can somehow hear her and they’ll come back if she does. So the daughter is told that she needs to keep her trauma bottled up for her own good. Furthermore, the sole reason the family goes to the hospital is because of severe injuries to the husband caused via the hero mother’s grossly unsafe and improvised security devices. In short, there’s no hero in this season. There’s not even anyone or anything to root for other than its end. Unless you enjoy being confused and angry, avoid this season entirely.
