As a person that read the books, I understand how difficult it is to bring this epic to the silver screen. The movie itself from a pure technological standpoint was amazing, even if it was a bit slow at times. Timothy was a great pick for the title character and he portrayed it well, he could do a remake of Edward scissorhands without a problem. I hate that they cut the story short in mid stride, but again you have to stop somewhere in order to get your sequels in. Love it or hate it, i still dig watching the 1984 dune, even though some of the tech is dated, it covers the story pretty well and his use of the steampunk mentality was awesome. I heard that there is a lot more of that movie on the cutting board, like the Snyder cut, and would love to see that. I’m looking forward to future installments of the 2021 version and hope it stays in keeping with Franks original epic story.
