A trip back into the sexism, racism, corruption, and white privilege of 1980s. Rodney Dangerfield was a top level comedian when this came out and it's mind boggling that this passed for humor back then. His comedy revolves around being misogynistic to women or straight up sexually assaulting them then paying off the police. At one point he calls a woman wearing a feather "Pocahontas" then later refers to the "Japs". In 2021 these jokes aren't laughable funny but awkward laugh cringe.
The plot itself is incredibly weak, the acting is B level, and production values low. Given the comedy was all it had going for it, this movie didn't age well. Watch it if you're curious about cultural changes in America since 1980s.
