I was looking forward to this film. It's been a while since a big film touched the zombie genre again. It also added some things that were needed to be different, a heist twist and evolved zombies, this was why I was excited for it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a let down. The acting was somewhere between poor and average, not bad enought to make you laugh and not good enough to be convincing. The plot was mediocre, more could have been done with it, more problems and tension around opening the vault etc. The main problem for me is the film was confused over what it was. It had comedic elements mixed with serious elements and the outcome is jarring. If the film wanted to be a comedy then it should have embraced it, for example zombieland pulled it off perfectly. If the film wanted to be serious then it should have committed to being serious, for example 28 days later, the walking dead. Overall I give it a 2/5. Its only redeemed by its willingness to try new ideas, something the genre needs
