Family Fischer

A great read, and deep plot if you care to even look for it. I would not consider this book a drag or 'boring,' it's just not an action movie. Quite frankly, I don't think many of these negative critics like any books whatsoever, and based on it being too "wordy" and confusing, they would consider true literature such as Frankenstein terrible, as well as many of Shakespeare's works among others. I quite resent one commentary of somebody who quite obviously hated the book, that one's opinion on the book doesn't matter unless they have 2 Phd's in english... First off, I can say with certainty that his (or her, I suppose) opinion does not matter if that is the case. Secondly, I would like to point out that Ray Bradbury himself had no college degrees, and only a high-school diploma.

This book has an enhancing story line that fits perfectly with what's going on. It has a good way of showing what the end times will be like to those who are interested. This story also sets a great example for all Christians in devotion to God no matter what it takes. For violence I would recommend 9-13 years. For reading level it has a complex story line which may confuse readers too young but other than that it is an easy read about 9-10 years. ~C. Fischer
