Just downloaded it tonight and although I’m only 3 levels in, I almost don’t even want to continue it. It is extremely childish (more than SMB is supposed to be), with singing piranha plants, flowers that talk to you, and you’re an elephant the majority of the time so far? There’s no classic Mario appeal anymore. No challenge whatsoever. They’re tryna introduce wayyyy too many new things, characters, and power ups…and I’m just not having it. Think Alice in Wonderland meets SMB. 🤢 It’s a huge turn off for me. I’ll update my review later if I change my mind but I very much don’t see that happening. At this point, I absolutely would not recommend wasting $60 on this game. Only reason I didn’t give it 1-star is because the graphics are still as good as ever.
