I will start by saying that this film is not for everyone, as it is very slow-paced and strange. But for those of you who would take time and get invested in movie, you will find it to be a very rewarding experience. The strongest part of this film is the dialogue and acting. You can tell the filmmakers did their research, as it feels like you are genuinely watching two 19th century wickies descend into madness, thanks in no small part to Pattinson and Dafoe who both deliver a Shakespearean performance. The film itself is very open to interpretation, as I could on for hours discussing what it all means. I cannot reccomend this film enough, especially if you are a fan of psychological horror.
