I am a big fan of Sylvester Stallone and love his movies, action or otherwise, and the very first Stallone movie that I saw, was First Blood, so of course I had to see this movie. I saw it, and I'm still a huge Stallone fan cause he's still got it: talent and looks. However, the violence in this movie is definitely over the top for me. 😳

Joaquin Phoenix gave the performance of a lifetime. He was truly totally magnificent. The movie itself, though very good, was overall disturbing and emotionally draining on more than one level. I couldn't see it more than once.
