Liked the comic books, do not like the TV series. It's not even funny. In the comics, the resident alien is likeable. In the TV series, he's a serial murderer and unkind to his friends. Season 1 was fairly OK, season 2 really lost it with the whole multiple alien conspiracy thing. From the original premise of an ET unable to phone home, so blending in with hoomans, which is nice, to a alien fighting to save humanity from other aliens. No thanks. Season 2 hugely stretches the simple premise of a small town which has an alien pretending to be a doctor, to now having several people in the town have close encounters. Including at least three abductions. Pleeeze. Felt watching season 2 was a waste, season 1 was decent. Not sticking around for season 3.

One of the best things I've watched this year. It's like watching a season of 24; intense, twisty, very well acted. A twist in nearly every episode, so rabbit hole is accurate! Towards the end you feel like the lead, completely uncertain what is real. Chemistry between the two leads is very good, feels real. Solid supporting cast too. Season 2 has big shoes to fill.

It's like watching someone paint by the numbers. Extremely predictable. Stilted dialogue. Cardboard characters. Leads try to banter but have no chemistry. Some TV series work better as a say, a two part TV movie. This is one of them.
