Fighter had a strong Top Gun vibe and occasionally felt like its Hindi-dubbed version. The use of IOP was classic, but making fooling PAK air control seem too easy was unrealistic. It was funny that the villain frequently used "Bharat Mata" and "Jai Hind". On a positive note, the stellar performances from all stars, coupled with Ashutosh Rana's brilliant special appearance, added a commendable layer to the film. Despite its shortcomings, "Fighter" succeeded in keeping the audience engaged with its diverse influences and unexpected plot turns.

Imad’s character’s ambiguous portrayal and unexpected twist felt a bit perplexing, making it hard to fully connect with his journey. Neil’s ambition to open a gym introduces relatable challenges, but the blame game for personal failures feels a bit forced. Ahana’s character's repetitive breakup plot, while relatable, lacks fresh angles. Overall, the film has its moments - it struggled to strike the right balance between addressing a heavy social issue and maintaining a simple, entertaining storyline.
