I’ve read The Perfect Find multiple times, so I understand that not everything can be included when adapting a book into a movie. However, I was deeply disappointed with this adaptation. While the cast was fantastic, the movie just didn’t capture the magic of the book. The chemistry between the main characters felt flat, and the ending was especially was over the top and underwhelming at the same time. Gabrielle Union’s husband making an appearance at the end only added to the letdown for me. I expected so much more from a book that was so intense, compelling and beautifully written, but the movie felt cringy and lacked the depth I hoped for. Just my opinion, but this one missed the mark.
